Dear beloved family in Christ, we bring this report today not from a place of lament, but from a heart overflowing with praise and thanksgiving. As you know, our region recently faced the fury of Typhoon Tino, a storm that brought relentless rains and devastating floods. The waters rose with frightening speed, turning streets into rivers and inundating homes and properties. We witnessed firsthand the power of nature especially for the two communities that we are reaching out – Mananga and Aromahan: appliances were submerged, furniture floated away, and the possessions we worked hard for were covered by the muddy tide. The material damage is undeniable, serving as a stark reminder of the temporary nature of earthly things.
God Is Always On Time
Yet, amidst the chaos and the rising flood line, we have a glorious testimony: The waters submerged our things, but the people never went under.
This is the miracle we proclaim! In moments when fear threatened to overwhelm, and when escape seemed impossible, the mighty hand of God was evident. The safety protocols, the strength of the community, the sudden clearance of a route—all were perfectly coordinated by a Heavenly Father who is always on time.
Every family member, every child, and every community member who stood against that rising tide has emerged with their lives and their hope intact. There were no casualties. Where logic dictated despair, faith found a way out. Our material possessions may require rebuilding, but the spiritual foundation of our community remains rock-solid.
Our Faith Stands Firm
We use this opportunity to remind ourselves and others: God’s timing is not governed by human expectation, but by divine purpose. He didn’t prevent the storm, but He rescued us within it.
We praise Him for the covering of protection, for the courage He instilled, and for the promise that though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, we will not fear. Our earthly treasures may have been lost, but our most precious asset—our lives and our faith—were secured.
We invite you to join us in praying for swift recovery and restoration for all affected.
